Once it has been determined that your home or business is in need of mold remediation a mold specialist will make an appointment to view your property.  Upon arrival they will  assess the type of mold and what is damaged before determining the best course of action to remediate your mold problem.

1. The first step of the mold remediation process is safety. Our specialists will set up containment to isolate the mold and prevent it from spreading to unaffected areas. For your safety you may be asked to refrain from entering the work area until it is properly  cleaned and determined to be safe.

 

2. During cleaning, different types of equipment may be utilized.  An air scrubber will be running constantly throughout the process.  It has the ability to "clean" the air by removing air borne spores and other particulates.

 

3. A HEPA vacuum is another vital piece of equipment that will be used. All effected areas will be vacuumed before cleaning the mold. Vacuuming will continue throughout the process, as well as one final time after the mold remediation has been completed.

 

4. Removal and disposal of any materials affected by mold that cannot be saved; such as drywall, carpets, insulation, etc . . .

 

5. Cleaning and sanitizing all the affected work areas with the proper cleaning agents.

 

6. After the remediation process has been completed, a final inspection will be performed, ensuring  that the microbial contamination has been effective.

 

7. A post-remediation air sampling will also be performed.  Samples are taken and analyzed to determine if the process was successful. If fungal spore concentration levels are still elevated the process will be repeated.
