MOLD – THE SILENT KILLER!
Molds are microorganisms that utilize organic substrates
as nutrient sources in the presence of moisture. Their spores germinate, grow and amplify when indoor moisture is uncontrolled through chronic water damage, catastrophic flooding or neglect routine maintenance and cleaning. Under these circumstances mold can grow and produce massive numbers of spores on wood, gypsum board and paint. Additionally, many soil bacteria and antinomies thrive in damp indoor conditions and are routinely found in environments where mold amplification is identified. If it cannot be dried within this time frame or there have been previous incidents or mitigation procedures weren’t followed properly mold will grow and must be treated.
